About Visala Gupta

P.B Visala Gupta popularly known as Visala Gupta of Rajam. He is born to Late Sri Potta Satyanarayana Gupta and Late Smt P Ammajamma on October 16 1941. Sri Satyanarayana Gupta, is also called as Satyam garu, was a bus owner. He was Managing director for Sri Rama Motor Transport Company. This company consisted of 160 buses in north coastal district of Madras State. He was awarded a Gold Medal by Indian Airlines as he had the highest number of trips in Visakhapatnam and Madras sector. He traveled daily from Visakhapatnam to Chennai in the morning and returned the same day for one whole year. He established M/S P. Satyanarayana Gupta & Sons Petrol Bunk associated with Burma Shell Corporation in 1927. Later Burma Shell is taken over by Bharat Petroleum Corporation.

Visala Gupta lives with his 4 brothers. It is a joint family all living under one roof. His 4 brothers are Sri P. Krishna Murthy Gupta, Sri P.Veera Bhadra Swamy Gupta, Sri P. Meenanadha Gupta and Sri P. Srivenkateswara Gupta. His 5 sisters are Late Smt G. Savithramma, Smt T. Meenakshi, Smt K. Chandravathi, Smt K. Roopavathi and Smt N. Varalakshmi. His family consists of more than 100 members with their children and grand children. His family is the biggest family in Srikakulam district. He, along with his 3 brothers, completed Shashtipurthi which is celebrated at the age of 60 years. His youngest brother is about to celebrate it in 2007.

He is known for his deeds in Rajam and the surrounding districts. He started involving in social activities at an age of 16. He helped fire victims in the near by village and was appreciated by the then Srikakulam District Collector Mr Bhagavan Das. He is keen in politics and had a good relationship with so many political leaders in Andhra Pradesh. He personally knows some of the chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh. He had good relation with Late Sri Jalagam Vengala Rao, Late Sri N.T. Rama Rao, Late Sri Marri Chenna Reddy, Sri Chandra Babu Naidu and Sri Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy to name a few. He even met Late Sri Rajeev Gandhi while his tenure as Prime Minister of India. He uses his political relationship for doing good deeds to the people.

His heart is Sevalaya, Temple of Service. Swami Vivekananda calls the poor man as Daridranarayana. Service done to poor and destitute is actually the prayers offered to the God. Heaven is near at hand for those who cultivate physical strength than for those who study the Gita. He strongly followed these words on his own. He who can't bear the sufferings of others, is a PUNYAMURTHY (blessed Soul). His dense heart always worried about poor people, which makes him to involve in "After death sacred programs" of Orphan dead bodies.
