Achievements and Deeds
- At an age of 16, He helped fire victims in the near by village of Rajam and was appreciated by the then Srikakulam District Collector Mr Bhagavan Das.
- Taaluka Raitu Sangham President for 6years.
- Member of A.P. RED CROSS SOCIETY.
- Life member of Leprous Organization, It was run by DENMARK CHILDREN ORGANISATION. Due to his active participation & influence this hospital is set up at Pogiri Village near Rajam.
- In 1962 he joined as the member of LIONS CLUB at Srikakulam. In 1964 he started the same club at Rajam. He worked in all the posts i.e as a Secretary, President, Zone Chairman & Deputy District Governor.
- During his leadership, a Veterinary Hospital was started & it was inaugurated by Dr Marri Chenna Reddy (The Then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh)
- He donated land for Zilla Parishad Girls High School in the name of his father P.S.N GUPTA and it is named after his father P.S.N GUPTA Zilla Parishad Girls High School which was inaugurated by the Sri Gorle Srirama Naidu( The Then Minister for Irrigation in 1968-70)
- He visited USA, CANADA , United Kingdon for LIONS INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION in the year 1975
- He also started Junior College & It was inaugurated by Vasireddy Krishnamurhy Naidu (The Then Minister for Irrigation of A.P in 1976)
- He is also a member of Rotary Club of Rajam and worked as a President, Secretary, Zone Chairman, Deputy District Governor and was Governor's Group Representative. During his tenure, Bus Shelters were constructed in rural areas. As water is scarce in nature, Under the Protected Water Supply Scheme, Water Bore Wells were dug and water was even supplied by water tanks.
- In the year 1980 as a youth delegation of Central Government for Olympics, He visited Russia along with many European countries.
- In 1987, He surveyed Flood effected areas from Helicopter and distributed food packets to Vamsadhara Flood Victims
- He is a life member of ISCUS (INDO SOVIET CULTURAL SOCIETY)
- He is the devotee of His Highness Sri THRIDHANDI SRIMANNARAYANA CHINNA JEEYAR SWAMY and a member of BAKAS in the Swamiji’s Trust.
- He started his social work at the age of 16 for the weaker sections and fire victims of the society .The people who are in need of medical facilities are being hospitalized & supplied with medicines and free health services.
- He also sponsored free education facility for poor intelligent boys from elementary education to Post Graduate Course.
- Having entered the business at the age of 19 i.e. transport business, he used to provide free transport facility to the students, who come from outside villages.
- He donated one elementary school at a village named Kancharam, which is centrally located for 10 villages. Now there is a proposal to make it as a high school, which will be completed shortly.
- He donated land for the construction of Sri Anjaneyaswamy temple in Rajam.
- The people of Rajam did not have a proper burial ground. He fought with the Government for approval, donated 67 cents of land and now Rajam has an equipped burial ground.
- He has good relation with all the political leaders and is a member of APPCC in Andhra Pradesh
- He visited Manasasarovar & Kailash Mountain along with His Highness THRIDHANDI SRIMANNARAYANA CHINNA JEEYAR SWAMY and 40 members, which is a memorable in his life.
- On seeing his devotion and active participation, His Highness THRIDHANDI SRIMANNARAYANA CHINNA JEEYAR SWAMY entrusted him a work of Renovation and Reconstruction of Sri Vasudeva temple which was originated 600 to 700 years ago. The construction is almost completed and will open soon.
- His heart is Sevalaya, Temple of Service. Swami Vivekananda calls the poor man as Daridranarayana. Service done to poor and destitute is actually the prayers offered to the God. Heaven is near at hand for those who cultivate physical strength than for those who study the Gita. He strongly followed these words on his own. He who can't bear the sufferings of others, is a PUNYAMURTHY (blessed Soul). His dense heart always worried about poor people, which makes him to involve in "After death sacred programs" of Orphan dead bodies.

His Family
He was married to Smt Kameswari Devi on 27th June ,1961 . She is daughter of Late Sri Varada Bangarraju and Late Smt Varada Rajeswari of Parvathipuram in Vizanagaram Dist.
They were blessed with Sarada Devi and Kalyan Chakravarthy Gupta. Sarada Devi was married to Pusarla Buchi Venkata Rajeswara Gupta of Kottavalasa on May 20, 1995. She had 2 children and they are P.Gowtham Gupta and P.Visala Gupta. Kalyan married to Kalyani of Vinjamoor on September 1st 2004.

About Visala Gupta
P.B Visala Gupta popularly known as Visala Gupta of Rajam. He is born to Late Sri Potta Satyanarayana Gupta and Late Smt P Ammajamma on October 16 1941. Sri Satyanarayana Gupta, is also called as Satyam garu, was a bus owner. He was Managing director for Sri Rama Motor Transport Company. This company consisted of 160 buses in north coastal district of Madras State. He was awarded a Gold Medal by Indian Airlines as he had the highest number of trips in Visakhapatnam and Madras sector. He traveled daily from Visakhapatnam to Chennai in the morning and returned the same day for one whole year. He established M/S P. Satyanarayana Gupta & Sons Petrol Bunk associated with Burma Shell Corporation in 1927. Later Burma Shell is taken over by Bharat Petroleum Corporation.
Visala Gupta lives with his 4 brothers. It is a joint family all living under one roof. His 4 brothers are Sri P. Krishna Murthy Gupta, Sri P.Veera Bhadra Swamy Gupta, Sri P. Meenanadha Gupta and Sri P. Srivenkateswara Gupta. His 5 sisters are Late Smt G. Savithramma, Smt T. Meenakshi, Smt K. Chandravathi, Smt K. Roopavathi and Smt N. Varalakshmi. His family consists of more than 100 members with their children and grand children. His family is the biggest family in Srikakulam district. He, along with his 3 brothers, completed Shashtipurthi which is celebrated at the age of 60 years. His youngest brother is about to celebrate it in 2007.
He is known for his deeds in Rajam and the surrounding districts. He started involving in social activities at an age of 16. He had good relation with Late Sri Jalagam Vengala Rao, Late Sri N.T. Rama Rao, Late Sri Marri Chenna Reddy, Sri Chandra Babu Naidu and Sri Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy to name a few. He even met Late Sri Rajeev Gandhi while his tenure as Prime Minister of India. He uses his political relationship for doing good deeds to the people.
